Pulwama, Mar 04 (KNO): In a move to decongest District Hospital Pulwama, authorities have decided to shift the Dermatology and Homeopathy Outpatient Departments (OPDs) to the COVID Care Hospital in Prichoo, Pulwama.
Some non-emergency services were already shifted to the COVID Care Hospital in Prichoo last year.
A health official speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that District Hospital Pulwama experiences a heavy patient influx, with 2,000-3,000 people visiting daily.
“To manage the overwhelming patient load, non-emergency services were relocated to Prichoo, a facility that was previously used during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.
The official added that the Psychiatry, Mental Health, Addiction Treatment Facility, and Dental sections were shifted to Prichoo last year and have been functioning smoothly since then.
“We have all necessary facilities, including a CT scan, available at Prichoo, ensuring better services for patients,” he said.
Now, the Dermatology and Homeopathy OPDs are also being moved to the Prichoo facility to further enhance patient care.
The official advised the general public to visit the COVID Care Hospital in Prichoo for Dermatology and Homeopathy treatments.
"All consultants have been directed to coordinate with dermatologists whenever specialist opinions are required regarding dermatological cases," he said—(KNO)
